I had been without a dentist since COVID times and I was really overdue. I found Dr. Hernas earlier this year and I am so grateful that I did! She is a gem - she is a fantastic dentist and a very kind and caring person, as are the members of her staff. I have found every aspect of my care at The Tooth Fairy to be exemplary and I have had a rare problem that Dr. Hernas has helped me to navigate. The first thing you notice is it does not feel like a dentist’s office in the best way. The waiting room is very homey. Dr. Cara and Michelle are so thoughtful, kind, and incredibly good at what they do. I’m someone with some dental work anxiety and they always put me at ease. They clearly explain what they’re doing, regularly check in with me on how it feels, and always tell me if they’re about to do something different. I had a great experience with Dr. Cara and her assistant Michelle. They were both very friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. The clinic environment is excellent—very clean, modern, and well-organized, with advanced equipment that made the whole process feel safe and efficient. Dr. Cara was gentle, professional, and detail-oriented, and the results look amazing. Michelle was also very attentive and supportive, always checking in to make sure I was okay. Dr. Hernas is an incredible, honest dentist, and genuinely one of the sweetest souls. I can’t recall ever having issues with getting dental work done throughout my life. Even with that being said, I have never felt more comfortable in any healthcare office than I have here, and that’s just icing on the cake for the top quality work they do. Thank you guys! 🤗
As many others have written, Dr. Hernas and her staff are top-notch. One additional distinction is something learned from being a patient of the late Dr. Gerald Benjamin, and that is the difference between a dentist who cares about preserving your teeth rather than seeing them as a money bag - aka a "business dentist" - where the path is crowns to root canals to extraction and implants, etc. Dr. Hernas is not a business dentist and hence very rare in the Capital Region.
