Beautiful place! Our waiter David was exceptional and very gracious. Excellent food and drinks. Great music and the bartendars downstairs are awesome!!!

First here and I am hooked. The seafood pasta is amazing. The honey garlic butter for the bread is perfect for the bread. After dinner, keep your receipt because it gives you free cover to their club in the basement. It's a place to relax and smoke stogies if you got'em. And the dj rocks the house all night long. If you are in Richmond, this is a place to try.

Tobacco Company is an embarrassment to Richmond – We went to dinner at Tobacco Company looking for the kind of first class meal and service one expects at a Ruth's Chris or Mortons given the pricing. This was not to be. It was not a busy night for them, but the service was very slow. 15 min to take a drink order, ten more before they came back. We're 30 min at the table before ordering starters. A Resounding "NO" – The bread had an odd herbal undertaste that was, frankly, unpleasant. The salad was completely saturated with dressing. The pasta primavera was mostly pasta with a very small amount of vegetables, including, unfortunately, huge chunks of near-raw broccoli. The dish was bland and definitely needed more sauce. I have eaten in this restaurant for many years for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. I was very disappointed when I attended a Brunch for a group I belong to and found that they now have a "set menu" for large groups. I was not able to get what I wanted off the regular menu and what I picked (a breakfast platter) was a lukewarm disappointment. The only great thing I ordered was dessert, a chocolate dream. I won't attend another large group function here. toughjudge

Don't waste your time!!!! – My husband took me to the Tobacco Co. for dinner. I would go on and on to write a long terrible review but I will make it very easy for you....since like you if I am paying $200 + for a dinner for two I would expect it to be perfect! -Terrible host staff! -Terrible waitstaff! Rude Staff – Worst service ever. Staff was rude. Not impressed. Don't waste your time here. The bouncer is rude and thinks he owns the world.

Why the hype? – What a disappointment! Good atmosphere but the food and service is horrible! I have dined there twice and on both occasions they have severely undercooked their red meat. The rest of the food was plain and tasteless almost like cafeteria food. The waiter didn?t even ask us if everything was okay after he served us. We decided to order dessert and the dessert chef had gone home! Did I mention it was graduation weekend? Tobacco Company needs to spend more time on their food and less on their decor.

The Tobacco Company is the one Richmond restaurant that we always take our out-of-town guests to. Not only does it have the best atmosphere in the city (or state) but the price is just affordable enough to allow us to "treat" mom & pop to a wonderful dinner out.
