Food barely warm. Server inattentive. Wouldn't go back if you paid me.
Well worth the trip. Service and food was beyond expectations.
We loved our lunch here after the World Food Championships...will definitely come again if we're ever back in Alabama! Thanks to our great server, Jenny!
Have eaten here a couple of times and have always been very pleased with it until tonight. I ordered the Seafood Pasta and the scallops were over cooked and our waiter brought me some more and they were cold. I would have thought that I would have either been offered a discount on our bill or not have been charged at all......wrong. Still had to pay $22. Don't know that I will go back.
This is the BEST restaurant that we have eaten in in a very long time. Loved the fact that it is NOT a franchise and the food was evidence thereof! The wait staff was attentive. The Front Dining Manager was delightful. We had pork chops, steak, fish and seafood and ALL of it was delightful. The fried green tomato appetizer was as close to my Mama's home grown, fried tomatoes that I have ever had. The Jezabell Sauce should be marketed as one of Alabama's finest! Food was awesome service was great , but the raw oysters were absolutely horrible in size and texture. For 18 dollars a dozen I think I would be a little more selective in what goes to the table . Just saying . Still one of the best kept secrets around though.
We were there for over 2 hours: it took so long to be waited on, the manager gave us a free appetizer. We got crab claws & they were excellent. We are entrees we're served, they were lukewarm at best. The fried green tomatoes were not food, cheese grits weren't warm & tasted bland.
Average. Good staff. But the food is just average.
