The Bay View Terrace Inn is a gorgeous Victorian bed and breakfast in downtown Petoskey. It dates back to 1911 and is one of the few remaining historic inns of Northern Michigan. Its beautiful cottage rooms and sleek whirlpool suites make you feel at home, while breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay soothe your senses further on. The Devol Dining Room can house about 125 guests and hosts Christmas parties, buffets, business dinners and so on. Bay View Terrace Inn has seasonal rates and menus for its guests.

RecommendedPerfect end to our drive from southwest corner of Michigan. Sipped a wonderful Old Fashioned on the porch with corn salad. Followed by warm homemade bread and the best whitefish baked on a plank with mashed potatoes piped around the edge. Terrace Inn & 1911 is a lovely spot to slow down and pause for a bit.
Patty and the entire staff are excellent. The Inn is beautiful, the food is wonderful, and I can not say enough good about our stay there. They make you feel at home and go above and beyond to make your experience one to remember

We ate in the restaurant and, as usual, my planked whitefish was delicious!
The atmosphere was beautiful. Our server was ok. The food tasted great BUT, it took almost two hours for us to receive the food. We we're there prior to a concert, as many others were. Two tables of 6 and 8 had to leave before their food showed up and they were there before us. Two tables who came in after us we're served and we were told ours took longer because my husband ordered the single pork chop...I could have gone to the store, baked it and had it eaten within an hour. My husband and I love hotels with character. This one certainly has it! We came in on a wedding weekend and knowing how hard the staff worked, they we all there in the AM and evening for dinner. You guys all rock! Belinda ( Front Desk Manager) thank you for for making our few days there so welcoming! We would most certainly pick The Terrace Inn 1911 Restaurant for our next visit!

The Terrace Inn is a great unique place to stay. Very charming and quaint. A little eerie as well.....haunted? Maybe.
