We really enjoyed our meals. My boyfriend had the Haddock with a Hat. I had the wedge salad and bacon wrapped scallops on a bed of Cilantro slaw. Would have been a five but he felt the haddock portion was small. And bacon scallops were pricey. We will go back.
We actually had not been here for a couple of years so glad we found it again! The haddock and beef were excellent and the nachos were hand made and the best we have ever had! Place was cozy and warm, service was exceptional.
I usually love the Tavern but this weekend was (except for service from the hardworking front of house) a total miss. Strike one- there's a table and a bunch of cleaning equipment half-hidden under a table cloth in a highly visible spot in the (freezing cold) dining room. Strike two- it's just before 6PM on a Saturday night and not one but two of the menu items (the only two on the latest menu that tickled my fancy) are either out or short of key ingredients.
