I have subscribed to several of Taunton Press' magazines for almost 10 years, and I must say that the management of this sale/transition/end of business - whatever it is, on the part of Fine Cooking is the worst I ever encountered in any product I have purchased. I just spent three hours trying to reach the publishers of Fine Cooking to find out if my paid subscription will be honored. I still don't know. As a decades long subscriber to Taunton Press's 'Fine Cooking', I was very disappointed in the lack of communication and poor customer service offered during their recent liquidation of this magazine. I have never been notified that my remaining subscription would be unfulfilled. They easily took payment. Nor was I notified of an online service of 'Recipe Box' would be discontinued with no way of retrieving long saved recipes...a simple grace period would be simple enough to have provided. **** **** *********** as a magazine. After reading the magazine and being an online member for around 20 years I cancelled online over two years ago. Got a charge a year after I had cancelled. Contacted Taunton directly to get it taken care of. Got another charge this year. Tried to cancel online again this year. Logging in was a nightmare. Logging into the site is not enough. Contacted these people in November 2019 about a product on the Taunton Store. I have YET to hear back from these people, other than auto responses to email. How can they POSSIBLY have an A+ rating? I'm giving them ONE STAR because I don't know if I'd be allowed to give ZERO stars....

Unfortunately, we (Taunton Press) do not sell this type of product as we sell magazines, books, etc. We have let her know this and have apologized that we didn't get back to her in a more timely manner.

Customer service is abysmal. Positive: I have subscribed to ******* magazine for decades. It is very informative and a pleasure to read. Negative: Since I moved 5 months ago, I have tried to change my contact information repeatedly, both by phone and online.They still can't locate my account. I have received only one magazine issue at my new address. This issue has been resolved with our customer. We have been in contact with her and have replaced a missed copy of the magazine and extended her expiration date for copies that were purchased in the store. We have confirmed that we now have her correct address on file.
Do NOT subscribe to their online archives. We signed up thinking it would be useful, which I'm sure it is for many people as they do offer some excellent articles. But over a 6 month period we only used it once. So paying $9.99 a month made no sense, so I called to cancel. I called the phone # on my CC statement & the lady who helped me was very annoyed that I wanted to cancel. This company engages in deceptive marketing practices, specifically promoting products on various websites for a greatly reduced price (77% off) and then, once you click on the link to purchase the item it brings you to a page on their site where the item is full price.
