I was part of larger group of 10 when I visited. The atmosphere was great with ambient lightening and minimal noise level. The service was good. The food was left a lot to be desired, it took over an hour to get our food which was kind of understandable with the group size, yet my my pasta was food and seafood was cold and tough.
Oh my goodness was this the best experience I've had at a restaurant for a long time, the food was fantastic, i couldn't choose between the lobster or the specialty lamb, so the chef himself came out to explain both dishes and what it took to make each, when i finalized on the lamb he then brought out the risotto that came with the lobster so i could give it a little try, which was so smooth and savory But that LAMB!! This place is absolutely one of the best restaurants Ive been too, for the price, the taste, the curtise of not only the chef but the server as well, it's absolutely amazing and an utter shame that this place will be closing soon, if you have not yet tried this restaurant I emplor you to do so before that date happens(6/28/2026)
The Sweet Spot is a classic hidden gem in Wichita. The beloved West side restaurant moved East a few years ago and will undoubtedly build an entirely new east side fan base. For our appetizer, we opted for the crab cakes. They were delicious! I could have eaten an entire plate full of them. 🥹 For our drinks, we chose the pomegranate mule and a custom old-fashioned made with tequila.
