My husband brought home half a dozen assorted cupcakes and they were PHENOMENAL!! I'm not even going to say how long they lasted.....LOL We had the chocolate salted caramel, mint chocolate, Johnny Cash, white chocolate raspberry, blueberry with cream cheese and vanilla.....all were moist and rich but not overly sweet (which I find most other places can't seem to master). This was our first vist and we will DEFINITELY be back!
I have tried the bakery 3 times since the ownership changed. Unfortunately I had to find a new bakery. The new cupcake recipes are just not as good and the icing is cheap- it tastes like its made with crisco instead of butter. I am so disappointed because this bakery was so good and so close.

We went to Sweet Spot when it was under the original owner. The atmosphere and vibe was way different. She greeted you with a bright smile and made you happy to look around. With extensive knowledge of her baked goods. Now it feels like a vendor you'd find at any mall. A very inferior product compared to there predecessor. Cupcakes were okay. Not the same old Sweet Spot for sure.... Thinking I can get the same or better at Kroger. I didn't think the cake was moist or the frosting was very good. Atmosphere was different too! No more pink boxes. :(
Usually I am a hue fan of The Sweet Spot, but unfortunately the cake my wife purchased for my birthday was only a step above Albertsons quality and a notch below Costco. The cupcakes are still phenomenal, and I will definitely keep buying them for birthday parties, but I can hardly justify paying $40 - $80 a cake if this is the quality we are going to receive.
