The Stephen Foster Story is a broadway-style show about the life of America's first composer, Stephen Collins Foster. The performance takes place in My Old Kentucky Home State Park at the J. Dan Talbot Amphitheatre. The grounds on which the theatre lies once belonged to the Rowan family, who were cousins of Stephen Foster, and is home to Federal Hill, the plantation house that inspired the state song. The show was superb! My third time to see, and each time I learn something more of the history of Stephen Foster. I had friends from Florence, Ky with me this time and they loved it as well. Also the fireworks were a total "BLAST"!!! Well done to your 2017 summer production team...��

This was the very first time that my wife and I have ever seen a professional musical as this. I loved every minute of it! From the beautiful belle at the entrance, all the way to the moment Stephen Foster got his woman, I loved it! All of the actors were excellent. I recommend everyone to go see this show; especially if you are a true Kentucky fan! And I swear, once I get back from overseas, you can bet that I'll be buying my ticket for the next showing!
