Great atmosphere
Their website says "Voted Best Buffet 4 Years", but they are NOT a buffet!!! Each item you choose has a price! I got a main dish with two sides. They main dish - breaded cod - was good, but the pierogies were super oily, and the breaded zucchini didn't have much zucchini at all -- mostly just sauce and breading.
Great restaurant, love going here for lunch when I am in 84. The food is classic Grandma's cooking and I haven't ever heard someone say they had a bad meal here. Their pies are also phenomenal.
I dont know why so many people rave about this place. I tried this place twice. The first time, I got the fish dinner with green beans and mac n cheese. The fish was soggy, the beans were not hot, and the Mac n cheese was gritty. On my second visit. I got the chicken tender dinner with cheesy hashbrown casserole & a garden salad. I used the spring house catering for my wedding. They were incredible to work with before the wedding and a dream on wedding day. The food was great the staff was professional and kind and really went the extra mile to make sure everyone was happy and fed.
