Nice hotel/hostel. Booked the Queen double with shared bathroom and it was perfect for us. The room was nice and provided perfect comfort - 10/10. Sink in the room was great and they provided cups, face wipes and ear plugs - nice touch. The area is very seedy. Homeless roaming around, people passed out on street, people talking to themselves… They recommended NOT parking your car on the street at night due to break ins. So just beware - great place to stay - awful area.

I booked a reservation back in March and was very excited for my stay at this hotel because, in the photos, the rooms and location looked phenomenal. However, the photos turned out to be very deceiving. The rooms were much smaller than I expected, even though I had booked a suite. The biggest issue for me was the location. I stayed 4 nights in this hotel for a work trip. The hotel itself was fine, but there were a few things I hated. The most important thing was it was dangerous going to and from, daily. The amount of homeless druggies that hang out in front and alone the route to the parking garage was Insane. I saw a man poop on the sidewalk, another clean his behind with the water from the drinking fountain, a woman with her breast hanging out, another man peeing on a tree, the last goes on and on.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly. The rooftop is a good place to hang out with tables and plants and some views of the city. The hotel is in walking distance of many restaurants and you can ask for recommendations at the desk. There are a lot of homeless on the streets nearby, which may discourage some travelers.

We had a perfect stay at The Society Hotel. Pricing, room needs, ambiance, customer service and walkability was fabulous. Just what was needed for a night or two in town. The cafe downstairs is excellent. The staff are very attentive and informative. Communication surrounding our stay was above and beyond. Thank you so much!
