Overall, the apartment is quite nice. The environment is clean, the community is quiet, and the general living experience is comfortable. However, there are a few things to be aware of before signing. I was a resident at The Slate through October 2025 and had a positive experience, which is exactly why I chose to reapply in April 2026. Unfortunately the experience this time around left me deeply disappointed. I paid $325 in fees, was denied based on credit, and was told all fees were non-refundable — including the administrative fee, for a lease that was never created. When I asked for even a partial goodwill refund as a returning resident, I was told no at every level. I understand policies exist, but the lack of compass... read more

A bait and switch place to live. They court you and are very nice and thorough and responsive as you are signing and moving in. Then, you're left in the dark. Communication is unclear, office staff know next to nothing and are never there when they are supposed to/say they will be, getting maintenance to some work on something takes forever, the facilities are always broken--for example, there has been an overflowing dumpster right in the front of the complex for over a month--people park in handicap spaces and non-existent ... read more
