At The Shrimp Barn we have grilled, sauteed and deep fried items. Our fresh fish and seafood selections are breaded in our kitchen. Love this place! Great service and amazing food. Such a great addition to little Minooka.
The Breaded steak was really good,and the lightly breaded shrimp and cocktail sauce was amazing. No double breading here. The steak wasn't massive, but adequate size, shared it with the wife, should have ordered two. Bob, the owner actually made the food, I recommend and will be returning. Job well done.
They have all kinds of fish of the day, but I do go for the breaded shrimp. They are delicious!! His wines are from local wineries so I recommend that you try one. I found my absolute favorite white wine there. It’s a Prairie Fume from Wollersheim Winery in Wisconsin. OMG!! The best! Never been disappointed there.
Nice cozy place with good food and service. Granted Minooka is a bit out of the way but it is worth the drive.

our server Jordan was great and so friendly. the shrimp was over cooked and chewy and the perch was also I overcooked and dry. too bad though, it was such a cute place.
Everything is home made and very tasty, the blue gill melts in your mouth
the food was delicious. our server Maddy was fantastic always checking on us making sure that everything was fine I also observed the other server was on top of everything also i didn't catch her name but great team work the cooks did a great job also.prices reasonable. nice atmosphere
The calamari was great.The lobster bisque was ok. There might have been lobster in the soup. The cod was bad! It was like it came straight out of a Gordon’s frozen fish box. I’ve had better at vfw’s. I’d prob try something else if someone invited me to go. All in all, you’re not missing anything if you haven’t been here. Oh ya, the waitstaff was pretty awesome. The atmosphere is nice!!
