This place has taken a horrible turn for the worse. I really loved this vet office when I moved here. Then a few months ago I had an older dog who was in excruciating pain, never leaving her bed, walking into walls, soiling herself...I asked to have her put down to end her suffering and the vet told me she “had years of quality life left” and refused. The Shot Spot either doesn’t know how to or just doesn’t care enough to keep accurate records (or any records at all). We recently switched to a new vet office and they were appalled at the paper thin “stack” of records we gave them from our 3 years at the Shot Spot. This place is horrible! The owner is rarely present and his staff is rude, incompetent, and negligent. Thanks to their lack of medical attention, I now have to pay a different vet to assess my dog for the same problem. I brought my dog in for her usual allergy shot and to have her eye examined. They did not have her allergy medication in stock and had me order medication for her eye on their website. The eye medication order was denied, citing it was the incorrect medication and dose! They would not vaccinate my cat because apparently he was “difficult”, which has NEVER been an issue at any other vet in the past. They also do not use safe, researched based methods of preventing Covid-19. Cat carriers were passed back and forth without any hand washing or sanitizing going on and only cloth masks on the vet techs. I had to leave with only 1 cat being vaccinated and chipped, and it was WAY more expensive than at our regular vet, which is currently closed and does not do microchips or we wouldn’t have gone in... read more
