Stopped in to see what they had to lure me back to the sewing sport and Mary told me about the classes and events that are offered, helped me demonstrate a Bernina (very cool), showed me examples of beautiful embroidery and quilting projects. The whole staff is friendly and helpful and seem to enjoy sharing their vast knowledge with all levels of seamstresses. I will be back.
Very Disappointed – They charged more than they estimated and then refused to stand by their work. I'll never go back.
Love them!! – I took my machine in for repair and had to wait just a few minutes, but it was because they took extra time to explain the machine and gave me a free lesson on how to prevent it from happening again. I love The Sewing Room so much, I bought a fantastic Bernina 830 machine from them - got free classes and am now creating like crazy!! I will be upgrading my serger thru them soon as well. Can't say enough good about Wendy, Mary and their staff!!
The Sewing room – The Sewing Room I just love the store and the way they make you feel. Very customer orinted and they take the time too talk with you.
great prices, fabulous service – When I went to get my sewing machine tuned, I found that everyone is charging $99 for a tune up! I was a little shocked, but happy to find the Sewing Room was only $75. (and they also have a $10 off coupon you can use to make it $65) They tuned my sewing machine back into tip top shape (and it was having plenty of problems with my feed dogs, extra noise, my bobbin holder...) JUST A GREAT PLACE TO CHECK OUT – I discovered this great place a while back and so glad I did. The Sewing Room has the most unique fabric, all the supplies I need for my sewing and embroidering needs. The people are friendly and go out of their way to help. So much so that they offer a free "sewing help Friday". What more could you ask for. Since I purchased my machine there, I have created some great items and learned so much. Thanks to all you wonderful gals at THE SEWING ROOM.
Very disappointing overall – I purchased a high end Pfaff 4 years ago and have nothing but trouble with it. The new owners had so many returns on their Pfaffs that they no longer carry brand. After attempting to get them (new owner) to help me with the problems, I finally decided to sell it. When I went in to get the original receipt the lady told me I would not get very much for it because "these are terrible machines". These people do not seem to realize that a good reputation in the sewing community means repeat business... read more
Honest, Competent, Great Customer Service – After using a mechanical sewing machine for 35 years, my wife decided to purchased a very hi-tech computerized sewing machine for Christmas. Our worst fears came to pass in that the machine developed a hard to find, intermittent problem some where in the software, electronics, or mechanical parts. The new owner of The Sewing Room, Wendy, didn't leave us "swinging in the wind" but was very fair and professional in handling the problem.
