Food was amazing. More of a "hole in the wall" type place, limited seating, staff not super friendly. There was a line out the door, but it moved quickly. We had 8 in our group and we only waited 30 or so minutes to get our food. Would definitely go back.
Seating is limited for a large group, food was awesome would come back.
Absolutely, hands down, the best place for seafood on Hilton Head Island. Very reasonable too. Get there early, especially if you have kids because the line starts forming before the doors open!
RecommendedFood was wonderful, it was worth the wait ! The line was down across the whole front of the building and it ended up be like a 45-50 min wait. But once inside food received quickly. The Shack Attack is enough for 2 people to share-

The best fried seafood in HHI. Very casual dining. Every trip to HHI has to have at least one evening waiting in line. If you don't feel like waiting in line, I suggest going at lunch.
This place is great. I really think people need to temper their expectations a bit. The owner has a lot of character and confidence in his food. If you want to be pampered and given the delicate flower treatment, this may not be the place for you. If, however, you want good shrimp and fish dishes made fresh and fast, I heartily recommend The Sea Shack. I enjoyed this place far more than the insanely overpriced Salty Dog, that's for sure.
