We rented one of Scafine group apt for over 8 years in Foster City , Ca and we were so pleased with the way Mark and Zack treated us that we didn’t want to go anywhere else till owner decided to sell the property . Mark gave us enough time to find a new place and he refunded the entire our security deposit . Absolutely terrible experience with Mark Scarfine. He is unprofessional and dishonest. I have never once left a bad review for anything, anywhere After letting Connor know for months that I will have to leave the space, he refuses to respond to my texts and emails so I forwarded the email to Mark. Mark responds extremely rudely and accuses me of not giving them notice when I have give them AMPLE notice. They are refusing to refund my deposit when I have legal right to it. 2/2/25: Editing my review to sound off of Joanna’s review that was recently left - Connor and Mark are definitely careless and incredibly dismissive. They DO NOT care about your safety and wellbeing. They claim they do not choose sides, but it’s obvious where they stand. Terrible experience at the 14 Poinsettia apartments in San Mateo. We lived there for 2 years and its was great at first. When an issue arised with another neighbor being extremely aggressive, rude and disrespectful I contacted police to file a report. After this, the neighbor proceeded to stalk me and my young children while getting in and out of my car, she would make faces, laugh drive up close to us and argue while I held my newborn, would throw our wet clothes from the washer to a table.
