My wife and I went there for our 30th Anniversary. We had the rib eye steak and it was delicious! I highly recommend this place!
We made reservations for my wifes birthday and arived early they seated us right away while everyone wished her happy birthday. The food was excellent and the service was great. I was looking for a restaurant with great sea food and drinks we found it. Thank you sand bar for making our dining experience great for my wifes birthday.
We've been here two years in a row while on vacation in Ft Myers and we love it! My wife got the special this year, which was the red snapper with Mango salsa and red beans & rice and I had the pork chop & mashed potatoes. This place has become my favorite meal every year when we visit Ft Myers and we will definitely be back again!! Jameson was our server and he took great care of us and was super nice to our 2 1/2 year old son!!
Spent five weeks in Sanibel and became a regular here. I was never disappointed in the food, service or drinks � I’ll be back whenever I find myself in Southwest Florida. Shout out to the bartenders Joe and Frances who make the best drinks and have the best conversations!
Outstanding dinner-the Black grouper was absolutely the best I’ve ever eaten, and I was born and raised in Florida, and have eaten a lot of seafood. Creme brûlée has specks of vanilla bean throughout, and was so silky and smooth with great flavor. Server was friendly, and margarita tolerable (but not great). This was our last dinner on the Island, but we will certainly return upon our next visit to Sanibel!

We went to this place based on a suggestion from someone at the hotel we stayed at. The Food was amazing. We had sea scallops and Chilean sea bass and the food was amazing. This place is not as expensive as most upscale restaurants on the island. The service was phenomenal. Our food and drinks cake up very quickly and we didn’t have to wait for our table. You can make reservations here and all of the people who worked there were really friendly. We will definitely be going back here the next time we visit the island.
We were staying in the condo just a few steps through the palm trees and The Sandbar came highly recommended. Patrick, the Maitre D’, greeted us warmly and we were seated immediately (uncommonly slow night if you read the reviews). My wife had the Special Prime Ribeye ($5 surcharge from choice) and mashed potatoes with mushroom demi-glace, and I had the special Macadamia Crusted Black Grouper (no upcharge) with a cranberry butter sauce that was very tasty.
