The San Francisco Dungeon is the first American iteration of the Dungeon attractions that are popular in Europe. In the course of an hour, you're taken through some of San Francisco's most interesting historical events. There are nine live shows and fully immersive sets that you walk through as your visit progresses. You even get to experience an underground boat ride! The shows can range from hilarious to somewhat scary, so the recommended minimum age for visitors is 10.

Good show/tour very entertaining. Actors were great...but the drop was a disappointment. 👎
The sets are good throughout. Hard to hear the actors at time or understand the storyline. They try to be funny and scary at the same time that doesn't work. Should stick to scary. The climax in the jail was great. Drop tower was a let down. They drop you one time. That's it....
Part Disney ride, part historical re-enactment and part haunted house! I was surprised how much they fit into what appeared to be a small space. The actors were great and the audience interaction was very entertaining. The sets are very well done, attention to detail is important to me and I had no complaints. My hubby and I loved the experience! It's not the scariest thing I've ever done but I'm guessing they are trying to keep this family friendly so kids can be included. VERY fun! I just wished that people were not so immature while the actors were trying to perform. Definitely an informative tour.
By far the coolest thing we did in San Francisco. Some creepy things, along with some humor. So much fun! Thank you!!
