Prime Rib is our house specialty. For over 45 years we have served what is arguably the best Prime Rib in the South Bay. We have a loyal following of local regulars, and for good reason. The delicious, homestyle, generously portioned food, stiff drinks, and mid-century ambience make the San Franciscan a unique experience to behold.

Good food This place serves some great food. Dark inside and cozy. I personally like dark restaurants. Service is good and food is very tasty. They also serve food in the bar. Last time I was eating in the bar there was alot of cursing going on. If you want something more relaxing sit away from the bar. PROS: parking, good food, service, drinks CONS:
Ols School Style restaurant The San Franciscan probably looks the same as it did the day it opened. It is really dark and a little seedy inside. It's kind of a good atmosphere for a first date, but then again if you took a first date here, you probably wouldn't get a second. The food is tasty and quick. the service is very friendly and the prices are good.
San Franciscan is good This place has some killer steaks, little whole in the wall that is mostly full of older adults for dinner. The service is good, and the overall menu is fair. Picture a dark night club, this is what you get.
Hidden Gem The San Franciscan is one of those restaurants your parents used to go to when they left you at home with the babysitter. Red leather booths, great bar and dim lighting. Excellent prime rib, fantastic service...worth the price. – After living in Torrance for 18 years, I had never gotten around to going to this landmark. After my visit last night, I am sorry I didn't go sooner. The prime rib was simply fantastic - very juicy and tender, and they give you plenty of meat (not fat!!), unlike other places.
