Here at, The Salish, we try to provide our customer's with everything they would need to have a relaxing, refreshing, and memorable stay on Orcas Island. Each cottage has it's very own hot tub, BBQ, deck, and access to the Sauna. The ocean is your backyard here at, The Salish, and friendly Bald Eagles, curious Deer, and sometimes the occasional Orca Whale are your neighbors.

RecommendedSuch a beautiful weekend for our socially distanced (covid) vacation. Pictures don’t do this place justice. The artwork throughout is beautiful and whimsical. I loved the very large deck of Eagles Nest Cabin with stunning views of the water and sunsets. Beautiful, peaceful and perfect for a get away. Well maintained property and absolutely loving it! Thane and Maggie have been beyond wonderful. I can’t say enough about this place.
We stayed in the Heron Cove cottage for the month of February. We had a remarkable time "Stepping Back" and enjoying a different rhythm of life in such a magical place. Thane and Maggie along with Soren and Daniel, Egil, Len and Elizabeth were gracious with their hospitality. Truly a beautiful place on earth.

The property backs up to the ocean and allows you to take in the breath taking sunsets, hear the gentle voice of the waves lapping on the shore, and the smell of the trees remind you that you are exactly where you need to be.
Thane and Maggie are the sweetest and most selfless people around. We just love them. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and a beautiful warm and cozy cottage. They even helped dig us out of the snow when a huge snow storm hit.
We 7 women absolutely loved our enchanted weekend at the Salish! We had both the house and downstairs units and we were able to spread out in comfort. The deck, the views , the ocean, the fresh air, the fireplace, everything was perfection! Thank you for an memorable girls weekend. 5 min from downtown... A BONUS!
