I’ve rented and owned in a number of apartment buildings across NYC and other cities, and this one is one of the most well managed. Building residents have a great sense of community and are very helpful. The building board also holds open meetings for everyone to participate. A new management company has replaced Fields and it is responsive.

I've lived here for 9 years and my kids have grown up here. Ideally, we'd like a 3rd bedroom so we have occasionally looked for more spacious accommodations in the area but the Saffron's combination of amenities, location and community is hard to beat. Management is proactive and the public schools have been surprisingly good. The building is medium sized so there's a good mix of people but still small enough so you get to know your neighbors and there's a friendly vibe to the place.
