The Root Beer Stand has been a close-knit family operation from day one and remains so today. As a matter of fact, both of our main cooks met the men they married while working at The Stand. It was sooo yummy. The root beer is fantastic. The prices..unreal...a mug of root beer for $1? Don't find that anywhere! Glad we found it. Working a show from Dallas and just happened upon it! Make sure to try it!
The Root Beer stand is a local icon that has truley withstood the test of time. I had a footlong with everything and a root beer. It almost brought me to tears that I ate there alone, the whole family used to go and when I was like 5 or 6 I'd always get the mini mug of root beer. So I bought the mini mug and a shirt just for old time sake.
Never had a better Root beer float. Place was packed but worth the wait.
Awesomeness the footlongs (2) and mug of root beer are great together.
Wonderful, friendly service. Great Chili Dogs and the Orange drink is fabulous. Shaded outdoor seating and a play area for the kids. What more could you ask for?
The root beer was good. Wasn't easy having a hamburger WITHOUT fries, (that was a let down, but it may have had something to do with the speed that they deliver your food??) but the burger was good. Not a Cincy style chili, but it was good. They only accept cash but there is an ATM onsite.
