Wonderful Ambience...And Customer Services...And Food!!!
Feels terrible to wait an hour and know you are the 3rd to be called and they completely cross out your name. It's especially terrible when the guy hosting is going out of his way to call people out in the alley way for tables. When you are "hangry and patiently waiting" this is a terrible feeling. I ordered a Cheeseburger and it was very delicious. The freshly cut french fries were also very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant to others. I would also like to take a moment to thank the Rookery for being a partner in the upcoming Macon Mardi Gras Block Party, on Cherry Street, in downtown Macon, on "Fat Tuesday", February 28, 2017, beginning at 5:00 pm. The food was good but I didn't think the DBT Dirty South burger lived up to the hype. The Jimmy Carter shake was the best thing I had! Bacon with a shake?!?! Crazy but crazy good. Atmosphere was typical lively bar scene. Eclectic crowd.
Excellent service and amazing food. They accommodate food allergies expertly. Be prepared for a crowd. It's quite popular.
Brought my sister here who is visiting from Florida. We all loved it. The food was great and our waitress was so friendly and good!
***Random icebreaker question: Which is better, cheese or peanut butter?*** I struggle answering this question because both are tasty. Anyways, I tried the Jimmy Carter burger with a side of Yukon whipped potatoes. I chose a beef patty (medium well) with a gluten free bun. The peanut butter and bacon on a burger was a funky twist, and I enjoyed it just as much as a bacon cheeseburger! I guess I'm no closer to answering my icebreaker question, haha.
First time we had been! Great service, excellent food and atmosphere! Definately will make the drive back to Macon!!! #greatfood
For the first time after several visits we had the steak sandwich instead of a burger. It was excellent and the service was great. We were sat in a timely manner and the manager came by to check on us.
