Company is a joke. Where do I start. I’ll try and cliff note the numerous issues. This is all in my personal experience, opinion and/or true and correct. I was oversold in the beginning. All I wanted was a 5500 form to be caught up from late filing and the current year 2023 filed. IMO, this company is terrible. I share the frustrations of others. Responses from TRA are wholly inadequate, procedures are stupidly complex, and fees are outrageous. Has anyone explored an SEC complaint? Thanks. 1 star is one too many.

I have been asking and waiting for more than 6 months for a status report and timeline for the simplest imaginable plan rollover. All they say is we cant tell you who is doing what or how long it will take. Completely unprofessional. My recommendation: stay away

I would give less than one star. The Government requires a fund manger. This is absolutely the worse company to hire. Avoid at all costs. They do absolutely nothing for you. They take your money and expect the client to do all the work. They nickel and dime you. Seek other alternatives.

They hold your funds at ransom. I’ve requested a distribution request almost a month ago, was promised in email that it would take 7-10 business days to process. I’ve called countless times only to get the run around including; they cannot talk to me because they can’t verify who I am, I need to talk to my former employer whom didn’t even know I placed the request several weeks prior, speak with Reliance financial whom too didn’t have a clue why he was the one that needed to be spoken to and then told me to call them back an... read more

DO NOT USE THEM! This is a firm you pay to manage your retirement account, something fairly complicated and you trust that this firm will do their job and protect you from mistakes. We had an HCE clause in our agreement, so anyone that goes over a certain $ in compensation will not get the company match. Not only did they not catch this, they didn't catch it for almost another 2 YEARS after the fact in which they were still matching the person, leading us and the employee to lose straight-up over $14,000! TRA - The Retirement Advantage company charges exorbitantly high termination fees. I terminated my 401K plan with them and they charged me the cost of what I paid each year for their services; $650 to terminate my plan with them. Look around at other companies who will not gouge you to terminate your plan.

FRAUD ALERT!! BUYER BEWARE. This company is evil. They knowingly filed unnecessary paperwork with the IRS after I told them it was not required, JUST SO THEY COULD CHARGE ME THE $150.00 for doing it. I have filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau, and the US Department of Labor.
