August 6 Congolese Supper was a wonderful surprise as when I booked it was Cuban. The soundtrack was Congolese rhumba (Afro-Cuban connection). Seated in the pavilion and served 3 courses, but the entree was akin to thali, albeit Congolese with five small dishes. The chef kept it simple yet elegant. We had the good fortune to have Tarver King prepare a feast for us last fall during an Outstanding in the Field event. Then we quickly made reservations for the Restaurant at Patowmack Farm and it did not disappoint. The meal was filled with amazing creativity and just wonderful people to be around. We left feeling fulfilled and enlightened. I highly recommend making the trip and enjoying the countryside for a culinary treat!
