RecommendedI have been at The Reserves since 2015 and it has changed in appearance over the years from the dirty stairwells and hall ways to the dumpster. I have personally swept my units stairway and hallway as I take pride in residence, as well as, I want visitors to appreciate my living quarters. Rent is not cheap and for how much I pay in rent I expect cleanliness. Dumpster often fills and overflows. Office staff are friendly but never get back to you when promised. Maintenance requests take a long time. The wall in the guest bathroom has a leak within that’s made it soggy, going on 6 months now with no resolution. Parking passes were assigned but are useless and not enforced. Things were very good here until the management turned over earlier this year. The singular maintenance guy they have for all 3 buildings is very awesome and friendly!

The office staff and apartments are amazing. My family and I love living here. This is the most affordable luxury living in the Newport News area.
Water damage I complained about for over 1.5 yrs, still has not been resolved. And, I found out I have been charged way more than other residents for the past 4 years. There’s more, but that’s all I’m typing, now.
My wife has been without air conditioning for a 1 1/2 months now. Just a portable AC for her and the dogs. Lights have been burnt out for 2 months with promises of being replaced. We call the office to be told things will be fixed and nothing is resolved. Instead of worrying about anything else, I am sitting here worrying if her apartment is too hot, if my son is sweating inside while he is playing with his dinosaurs, or my dogs are going to over heat.
