The Renfrew center of pittsburgh is truly incredible. The staff there are so kind, compassionate, and truly give their all into helping the patients get better. My therapist there has truly helped me to save my life and I am so blessed that I got to receive care here. Truly the way they care for you here is unmatched and the staff truly goes out of their way to make your experience the best it can be, even though treatment is obviously hard. Renfrew welcomed my dual-diagnosed 17 year old with open arms and open minds following a failure at in-patient. The therapists at the partial hospitalization program tailored the program and expectations to meet her where she was and accept that to slowly help her grow forward. The support provided to our family by the center while on this terrifying journey was consistent and unparalleled. this place is predatory. like other reviewers say, they ONLY recommend residential regardless of what level of treatment you need. this was actually confirmed to me by an ed therapist who has referred to them over the years, she said that in the 10 years she has been referring to different places renfrew has not ONCE recommended anything but residential. they are for profit, this is so they can make more money. they are doing so on the backs of vulnerable people. that is one of the foulest things I can think of. the evaluati... read more
If you care about your loved ones do not send them here this place will evaluate you and under any condition you are in recommend residential treatment. Their motivation has nothing to do with patients well-being and everything to do with the dollar sign.
