This establishment coordinates the rentals of over 120 vacation homes. All homes are located in Yosemite National Park and are privately owned. Some homes and cabins have fireplaces. Most of the homes have kitchens. A few homes have unique features such as a satellite television, game rooms, gas grills, and a dishwasher. All rentals have a two night minimum stay in the winter and a three night minimum stay in the summer and on holidays.

Great place to stay away from the tourists. Clean cabins with everything needed for a great trip. Been coming here for 28 years and always had a great stay.

This review is a little late, but it’s been heavy on my heart lately. I booked a few cabins with Redwoods last September for my wedding, and, as my mother was put on hospice for her late stage ovarian cancer, I needed to cancel the one I had reserved for my family to stay in. I really wanted to cancel the whole thing, but it was too close to my date and we had friends and family members who had already gotten their plane tickets. The plan was to just get it over with so that I could rush home to be with my family. However, when I called to cancel my family’s cabin & explained the situation (crying, mind you), I was told, word for word: “We don’t want to lose this revenue, do you have any other family who could sleep there?” (I would like to add that including the cabin being used for my reception, we were still renting 3 cabins for two nights at over $1k each) I was absolutely disgusted by this response. I knew the cancellation policy had to be outside the 30 day mark, and we were 28 days away, but I really thought some kind of exception could be made considering the gravity of the situation. Instead, I ended up having to play phone tag for A WEEK (!!!!) just to get my reservation canceled, and was given that heartless response when I was finally able to get someone to do it for me. (Now, 21 days out instead of 28) It was hard enough to be a bride at the same time my best friend in the entire world lay dying, and then to not be given any sympathy whatsoever really made things that much more miserable. All for the “revenue”. They clearly do not care about, nor appreciate, their guests whatsoever- in any shape or form. Being in the hospitality industry myself, I find this horrifying. So much so, that I’m writing this review in March about an incident that happened in September.

I’ve been coming to The Redwoods in Yosemite since 1965. We have rented a variety of cabins throughout the years and all have been fabulous. From fairly rustic, to amenities and upgrades & beyond, the cabins are great retreats. Follow River Road down to a swimming hole off the South Fork of the Merced River. Or take the 5 mile loop over the swinging bridge and through the woods.
