I wanted to check the place out because it had very good reviews. The place is small and packed for lunch. I was lucky to get a spot at the bar. The guys serving were very nice and helpful. The food is amazing. It’s small portions of very yummy food. I had sardines and tongue and it eas to die for!! The wine selection is very good as well. I’m definitely returning to this place when I come back to Chicago!!

Overrated & pricey. Contacted management 3 times to credit an xtra $1 pending/hold charge from bar that was supposed to drop off. Still not resolved. Owner is Greek as I am too-expected more. Very disappointed.

Staff behind the bar are very knowledgeable and customer focused. Every plate we tried was delicious, but the most amazing part was that I left with a new appreciation for beets! You must try the salted beets.

Fried Deviled Egg, Lentil Salad, Fried Pig Ear and Pork/Bacon Pate. If my stomach could stretch enough I would eat a bite of each item on the menu. Marvelous inventive and absolutely scrumptious food. My new US favorite...so good I am dreaming of the next Chicago trip. Good no GREAT job Purple Pig!

I LOVE the food. Wine selection was great. Needs better liquor for mixed drinks though since my husband doesn’t drink wine or beer.
