Stick with the pork...the fish was dry and bland but everything else was delicious including the veggies and desert!!
When I say ‘I could probably eat here every week,’ that’s because it’s true! For having a pig as part of its sign, this restaurant has hands down some of the BEST fish and seafood in the city! The carnivore in you will be in heaven here, too, with their awesome house cured meats, pates, and favorites like the farm chicken and country rib. One of our favorite foodie haunts back in the day. Too sterile and uncomfortable now. There are many better options in the neighborhood. Flavors are muddled. Service is slow and rude. Pass on by unless you are a tourist looking to pretend you have eaten well in Chicago..
Great service. Creative menu. Cool area! Had variation of eggs Benedict. Poached on sourdough with arugula and Italian ham. Biscuits awesome too! Outdoor seating was perfect.

A trip to Chicago without a meal—or two—at the Publican is a wasted trip. The food, the service, the atmosphere- all excellent! And the menu is a constant revelation. Hands down, my favorite restaurant. Period.
Amazing dinner! All of the food was fresh and you can’t beat the atmosphere.
