We stumbled onto this place right after we arrived in Savannah. It was raining and we had been walking around for a good while looking for somewhere to eat after a long car ride. The Public had a great atmosphere and the food was amazing! The staff was so nice and gave us great suggestions for places to visit and things to do. Our waitress Sonya was great! If you're in Savannah you have to stop by!
You will not be disappointed! I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, my boyfriend ordered the Bison burger. Both were absolutely fantastic. I am a huge Shrimp and Grits fan, order it almost everywhere I find it on a menu and this was by far some of the best tasting I have ever had...one of the top two I have tried. My only complaint is the second story rooftop was not open...specifically wanted to sit out there, but the ambiance inside really made up for it. Next time I'm in Savannah I will be back!!
I had the Caesar salad and my daughter had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Good service and great atmosphere!
Enjoyed an amazing dinner while on vacation in Savannah this past weekend. Service was excellent - our waiter offered several suggestions for local beers as well as locating a beer my friend had tried previously. My meal - Savannah Shrimp and Grits - still has be longing for more.
Always have had great food and service here. The grilled pork is fantastic.
Nice place for a straightforward toasted sandwich, good selection of beers and 2 choices of cider:-)
