My husband and I just happened to be walking by on our 1st day in Savannah. This restaurant ruined our dining experiences for the rest of the week as we could not find anything as good as this place. I had the Public burger and it was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten. The wait staff was perfect, the atmosphere was friendly, and the price was just right. Cannot reccomend high enough!
RecommendedOne of the best steaks I ever had. Thick juicy perfectly cooked. Not over done with garlic and spices. Just delicious. Bread pudding was mighty fine.

Worst visit ever. Waitress tried to tell my vegetarian wife she ordered shrimp and still charged us 6 bucks for the shrimp, and really seemed liked she could care less. She normally orders the coconut-curry but this one, besides the shrimp, was very watered down and bland. We didn’t send it back because she was afraid they would do something to her food. We used to love and recommend The Public but now we will never return or recommend to anyone.
Their public burger is sooooo delicious and the patty is huge as hell. Their cocktails are perfect and the atmosphere is just amazing. I just recently found this place with my boyfriend and I fell in love so I took my friend there the next day. Amazing place. Definitely should check it out if you’re in town visiting or live here but never been there.
Delicious food, amazing drinks and the staff was friendly and so personable. They were eager to help me special order to meet my allergy needs.
