Introduced to the Americans by the Pennsylvanian-Dutch community, locals take preparing and eating this delight very seriously and even celebrate April 26 as National Pretzel Day. This loop of dough is available at various bakeries around town, but is best enjoyed at The Pretzel Shop. Here you will find a vast variety of pretzels that goes well beyond the simple salted type. Sugar coated, stuffed, hard and soft are all available in large numbers.

Wonderful South Side Gem – The Pretzel Shop is undeniably one of the best gems in South Side. It has the best traditional soft pretzels I've ever eaten along with more exotic flavors such as cinnamon, garlic and cajun. They also have wonderful pretzel sandwiches and other baked goods.
Do you remember the big, soft, salted pretzels you could buy as a child? This is one of the FEW remaining places you can get them. They won't ship as the pretzels are natural and have no preservatives. Forget the hard pretzels you can buy in grocery stores. These are homemade; the real thing. Definitely worth the trip! I know, because everytime I return to Pittsburgh, the Pretzel Shop is one place I refuse to miss!
The Pretzel Shop has a 4.8 star rating with 688 reviews.
The Pretzel Shop is closed now. It will open on Monday at 6:30 a.m.
