Had no idea this place existed. What food in the atmosphere was excellent. The whole restaurant is built inside of 1940s power station by a creek. Historical.
The Powerplant has one thing going for it that is hard to beat: the view! The outdoor seating overlooking the Guadalupe River is absolutely beautiful and makes for a wonderful place to sit, relax, and enjoy a meal. Our food was delicious. Nice atmosphere but parking can be very challenging. Their opportunity lies in their service. Our food came out hot and nice, but the follow up service never came. Missing a few (very small) things that we asked for. The time that we went was an early lunch, but struggled to get out by 1:15-1:20.
Let's start with the good. Loved the view of the river. The food was mediocre. I had the meatloaf and it seemed like they took slices and grilled it to heat it up. Didn't have alot of flavor except the brown gravy. My side salad had bad cucumbers and tomato. The bathroom was gross. Stalls without toilet paper and a few were nasty.
