I made a first time appointment for my Mom and I to get blowouts before a movie premiere, and was thankful when Curtis Blue texted me to confirm the appointment the night before for both of us. I had thought about booking with Drybar, but saw the great reviews and wanted to go to a local place. Curtis is my stylist, and I can’t stress enough how well he takes care of his clients. He took the time to explain all the care and maintenence of extensions and also very carefully matched my natural hair color to the extensions. The turn-around time from when we ordered the extensions to installation was very quick, especially considering Curtis took time and effort to perm them so they would match my natural hair texture. I cannot recommend him enough :)
i'm lucky enough to get to visit both Powder Rooms when I'm in los angeles and it's hard to pick a favorite! Jaimie B, the founder, owner, and badass mother, does a perfect job at creating a hair haven. i've been getting bleach & tones for almost 15 years, and my fragile hair has never been healthier than after I see Jaimie. i love the top of the line Oribe products they use. the salon is cool, clean, & especially comfortable. i would give it 10 stars if i could. thank you, powder room & Jaimie for making me feel like a plat... read more
I can't emphasize enough how utterly disappointed and infuriated I am with my experience at The Powder Room. It was an absolute nightmare from start to finish, and I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy. I made an appointment for a simple hair dyeing session, expecting a routine visit. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a journey of sheer incompetence and unprofessionalism.
