I felt the Pointe Restaurant at Wheeling Island Casino was full of contradictions: Most of the meal was of outstanding quality, yet the dessert was one of the worst. The service started out fine, but ended at an exceptional low. Somehow this was both one of the best and one of the worst restaurants I've dined in. We waited at the front for a good little bit while everyone ignored us. We had a reservation. Then we got seated at a dirty table. We then waited again for a server. I got a dirty glass for my water. We were never offered or asked about any other drink. The shrimp cocktail was absolutely AWFUL. Dinner was meh, and not even hot. We don’t like to make a scene so we endured this but I will never go back. This was a very special occasion for us and I’m very sad that the restaurant was so terrible.
Totally disrespected from waitress to management...the person setting our table handled utensils bare handed by the eating end waited over an hour after our reservation time never received drinks that were ordered ....no explanation. Manager listened to our complaint then just turned and walked away ....a disgusting experience beginning to end .
Great food. Servers were busy but checked in. Did their filet couple special. Bread has variety and the salads large! Would recommend, nice sit down spot.
For a supposed upscale restaurant, all of our food was served on top of each other. Half way through appetizer when salads arrived, and they are a good size, one bite of salad and hot food arrived. We ordered a side dish we never received. I had to take a business call when I first sat down and the waitress walks over and is trying to take my order. Food is good but service should have been better
