When I moved back to WI last year, the staff was so helpful in helping me make good choices on flowering shrubs. Last week I was shopping for hanging pots. Not only did The Plant Place let me choose what I wanted in the baskets/pots (rather than competitor's pre-made), when I picked the TWO pots up, the cost was a mere $3 more than the competitor's price for ONE. Did not honor gift certificate from before the new owners took over. Looks like there was a dispute between the old owners and new owners, and the old owners didn't honor their verbal agreement to compensate the new owners for gift certificates. I guess the new owners are putting the customer base in the middle of the dispute rather than own up to the mistake of not getting the agreement in writing. Good luck on your new business.
