Romantic Date Spot – Make a reservation... this place was packed, very small but quaint. Service was great and very nice... the food was amazing.. .especially the duck 3 ways! My boyfriend and i had a great time here and definitely recommend it!!!
Had the best time - floated out of The Place – We were warmly greeted when we arrived, the tiny bar was full of lovely people and the atmoshpere very relaxed. We were seated at a very comfortable intimate table, and our waiter encouraged us to try 'The Place' signature cocktails and dishes - which were delicious, freinds have been raving about this restaurant for years, and finally - we can join them. It was a really special night for us.
You must be kidding me – Ok guys seriously? The Place is your run-of-the-mill, typical so-called "romantic" spot. If you want to take someone someplace interesting and fun - don't take 'em here. It's like taking someone to One If By Land...so corney and the food is awful. This place is not about the food at all. They're just trying to appeal to a certain crowd for valentines day or something. Go elsewhere to spend your cash folks.
Comfy Mediterranean spot in the West Village shuns a scene in favor of satisfying fare. – The Scene Despite its supremely generic name, the Place is an intimate restaurant full of comfy touches like wood beams, stone walls, multiple fireplaces and a cozy bar. Greenwich Village comfort zone – Such sweet ambience, a wonderful aura - always take my European friends here for dinner and they love it. Food is good but the buzz and attention to detail is what makes The Place really glow.
Like no-other – You have to expierance it to really understand how charming this quaint place can be. My partner and I dine here often and we live up-state. We perfer to dine during the week simply because on the weekends they are packed. The food and work staff are always on point for us and our guests. Keep up the good work!
Romance and Charm – I got engaged here 7 years ago and have dined here ever since. The menu changes to season with organic ingredients and the atmosphere is consistantly warm and romantic. This "Place" is a true west village expierance!
First Date – I was recommend to take my first date here almost two years ago and yesterday I proposed to her at the same table. After a few moments my fiancee commented on how this "Place" has been a special part of our relationship. The food is always good...everyone knows that, but the expierance is what is memorable and unique. A must try!
It was a great for us, really good food and service – Just returned to the restaurant after a break from the city. Read a couple of review can't believe the attitude of people. What's the problem with a restaurant reservation time not being available? and being offered alternatives. Can't remember the last time I got an 8pm reservation at a great restaurant just one week out - however pushy I am.
