The name Pig & Whistle has had a place in British history ever since daily rum rations were issued to all men aboard Royal Navy ships in 1655. As the story goes, it was the job of the junior midshipman to go below to draw the rum for the shop's company from the barrels - called "pigs". One day the junior officer arrived on deck drunk with the rum for the duty officer of the day. Food was honestly just ok . The ribs my husband had he enjoyed but the roast beef I had was tough .

Great food. Bangers and mash. Pork and mash. The haddock and chips was superb.
One of the best fish fries I’ve ever had. The house recipe bread crumb beer batter is awesome! The Tuesday special made it even better. I tried this place on a lark and glad I did. Great staff that made me feel immediately at home. This is the Florida feel I really love. Thank you!

We had a great lunch at a reasonable price
The haddock and mushy peas are my fave, always served a big helping of tender fish. Servers are very friendly and welcoming!
