This is a wonderful place! The food is amazing and the ambience is terrific! Love the Chicken and Waffle, but everything is delicious. Go...you won't be disappointed!

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing......the food here is fantastic. This is a gem, a treasure of a place worth traveling to when one is visiting in the Bay Area.....superb,inventive,delicious and beautiful meal with friendly and attentive service- a truly memorable and special dining experience in a very delightful, peaceful and cozy environment. The amazing wine was perfectly designed to go with the menu and added a lot to my enjoyment of the food. Thank you all so very much !
We went to the Pear for our daughter's birthday. We were all disappointed. The service was ok but not spectacular. We ordered the chicken and waffle. The chicken was good but the waffle was cold and no longer crisp. We ordered the pear tart for dessert. The waiter came by our table twice to apologize for the delay in serving it and then the pastry chef himself came out to apologize for the delay. When it finally arrived the pastry was under done and soggy. We will not be going back.
The Pear has amazing food great wait staff and great ambience. A must on a sunny day looking at the river.
