My husband, dog and I stayed a night heading south and a night coming back north on an 11 day road trip. We enjoyed everything about this charming, retro motel. They are very dog friendly with nice outdoor spaces for sitting and relaxing in the sunshine. Staying there made us want to come back to spend a few days and enjoy all that Ashland has to offer.
Changing my review to higher due to nice, polite response from owner, with reasonable explanation (see below) - IF it is Not all the business’ fault, it is Not fair for them to pay the “price”. Wrote originally: Dishonesty and wasting my time. Looking for hotel, this place came up for $55/night, but after clicking on the link and scrolling down to look for the $55 deal - it is for CABANA, NOT for a room!
We really enjoyed staying at The Palm. Our cottage was beautiful. Decorated nicely and the bathroom didn't give me the ick like other hotels. Plenty of room for our things and sweet chocolates in each room. They also refreshed the cottage and turned on all the lights before we got there. They made it feel very inviting. We plan on staying there again in the future. Keep up the great work!!!!
We stayed at the Palm Motel while at a preview day at SOU. The location was ideal, literally across the street. And we loved this cute, friendly, funky little motel... The room was clean, quiet and spacious, the kitchenette was a big plus, and the beds were so comfortable... We will absolutely stay here again if my kid ends up at SOU.
Very cute place, the people are really nice, and the rooms are clean. But the maintenance is lacking. We first stayed in their biggest room, #16. The tub didn't drain right, the TV didn't work, and the heat in the bedroom stopped working after two nights. We switched to #15 next door, but the heat wasn't working right there either.
