This restaurant is a hidden gem that exists by word-of-mouth due to the creative, delectable, menu and charming atmosphere. It is nestled among some of the most beautiful scenery in southern Virginia. Make the drive and you will go back again and again.
Used to be fantastic several year ago -- now only mediocre despite trying 3x in the last year. Burned food, wilted salads, overcooked hard fish. Dessert is always delicious.
Beautiful surroundings. Biscuits and gravy made this Jersey Girl a big fan. Appreciated that my 3 year ate for free. Adorable atmosphere and I watched the owner walk around holding and rocking an infant for a customer while the parents enjoyed a quiet meal. Icing on the cake was the homemade candles given to my mother in-law for her birthday. We'll be back!
The drive there is beautiful. As soon as you walk in, it feels like you're talking to an old friend. The food was beyond amazing. Will definitely visit again!
This was one of the most amazing meals I'd ever had! Shrimp dip, chicken and steak was all perfection. If you are ever in the area, my wife and I highly recommend you give it a try.
Celebrated my wife's birthday at the Palisades Restaurant recently. What a great experience. We took a back road to get there, winding through some beautiful pastoral views, which was a lovely start to a great night. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the quaint ambience of the restaurant. In it's previous life, it was a general store which you could glimpse from the hardwood floors, ceiling, and wall to wall shelves.
