This place is staying in my list as one of the best Chinese food there is in the city. They have everything and the tastiest of them all is their braised beef.

Though a little more pricey than many Chinese restaurants, the food here is quite good. The ambiance is nice as well, so it's better for dining in than getting take out. They also have a surprisingly good cocktail menu.

Not in Los Feliz – I have been eating in this restaurant since Chi Dynasty opened its doors, unfortunately its successor does not hold a candle to Chi Dynasty. The Palace's food and atmosphere is not unique. It is a badly copied version of Chi, without the attention to detail and execution to the food and service. The Chinese Chicken Salad was oily and poorly prepared, the lemon chicken was dry with a taste similar to cardboard. The balance of rum in the mai tai was overwhelming (and bad rum as well). The Palace was very qui... read more

Service a Problem – Had dinner there last night, and I thought the food was good- add-on's were VERY pricey. I ordered the Sizzling Seafood, and the waiter asked if I wanted brocoli or bok choy or mixed, I said mixed. He then asked me if I wanted white or brown rice (3.50 for a very small bowl) - I said brown. I wound up getting white rice and steamed vegetables - NO Sizzling Sseafood. When I asked about it - the waiter told me I was wrong and had ordered steamed vegetables. The Maitre D told me I could try Sizzling Seafood ... read more

Four Thumbs Up for the Palace – I do not usually write reviews but I thought that my dining experience at the Palace warranted high praise. The staff is gracious, accommodating, attentive and humorous. We ordered four different entries and shared. They were all delicious. The atmosphere is inviting, the decor is tasteful, and the service is exceptional. We have had pleasurable evenings at Chi Dynasty in the past but the new Palace is superior by all measures. I look forward to it getting its liquor license.

WOW! Fantastic! – The Palace used to be called Chi Dynasty and we used to go there frequently. However, we hated the service and food was OK, but locals had no other chinese alternatives in the area. NOW that it's The Palace... the waiters and the menu are the same, but magically the food is amazing and the service is outstanding! Before, as Chi Dynasty, they never had female waitresses and the male waiters were rude and condescending to all-female tables. (If a man was sitting at the table, they would only address him.) Now... read more

Dramatic decor and classic Chinese cuisine served in the old Chi Dynasty space ignites a Los Feliz turf war. – When The Palace moved into Chi Dynasty's old space in late 2007, a rivalry was born between the original occupant (now located in a strip mall down the street) and the newcomer. Los Feliz locals tend to have strong opinions about their favorite. Regardless, the neighborhood's newest Chinese rstaurant offers authentic cuisine in a spacious setting accented by black carpet, red walls, modern art and contemporary high-... read more

Their tasty food is out of this world!!! – I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, but while at a doctor's appointment accross the street and because the clinic employees highly recommended it, I gave The Palace Chinese Restaurant a try. I mean, it looked nice from the outside and it has a nice size parking lot; a commodity that a lot of businesses cannot afford in Los Feliz (not even my doctor). Anyhow, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in by the immediate service. I loved their Chinese decor, from the walls to the dishes... read more
