The food is ok. Some of the specialty items are very tasty. The service is very good. There is usually a log wait on the weekends.
The food is wonderful, but I find the service to be slow and not especially friendly. But this is a great place to go with a group and split dishes so you can try their variety. I especially love their buckwheat pancakes.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Ate at the original location in Portland growing up. Was so excited when it opened here. The taste and quality are the same. Had not had the cherry crepes in sooo long! Highly recommend.

My wife and I went into the West Chester, OH location around 8:30am on 6/20/2014 and were seated in the back section of an almost empty restaurant. I ordered an unsweet iced tea with lemon and my wife ordered a coffee with cream. When our drinks were brought to us, she poured the cream into the coffee, stirred it and then took a sip. While we talked, I looked at her cup and saw something dark in it. Using my spoon, I reached over and pulled out what turned out to be a small hard shelled bug in the coffee. Original Pancake house is a very popular breakfast/brunch place in uptown. They have tons of different breakfast/brunch options-everyone will be able to find something that they like. Portions are reasonable, some breakfasts (eggs) are bigger than others. I've never had a bad meal there...just a long wait before a great meal.
Sourdough pancakes are fantastic! The location is very nice as well. The restaurant is located in the very artsy and southern 5 points area. We enjoy the scenery there. It's true that the service may not be perfect but I find it more than acceptable. The real draw is the awesome menu options. Unfortunately they don't have a sampler yet����.
This isn't just any ole breakfast it's a treat! (the apple pancake is just as good too)!!!
