The billing process created an unacceptable and unnecessary payment risk for me. I had a balance owed and mailed in payment-card information. After about a month, the payment still had not been processed, so I mailed the information again. When I contacted billing, I was told that because two mailed payment authorizations were now in their system, the same balance could be charged twice.
