About this business

The Old Feed Mill is known for its Fork Tender Pot Roast. Midwest Living featured it in their article: A Taste of Comfort". Jerry Minnich a food reviewer said "I have never had a better pot roast-Ever so slowly cooked beef yields easily to the fork. Unsullied by unwanted seasonings but graced by dark, rich, brown pan gravy, this is indeed a pot roast for the gods." The other signature dish is cider roast chicken, steeped in apple cider, crusted with fresh herbs and roasted until moist and golden. Originally a flour mill, whe... read more

Thank you to The Old Feed Mill for a wonderful to-go order of smoked chicken & ribs w/all the "extras" on the side including a homemade BBQ sauce that's tangy and rich. We also enjoyed the decadent white chocolate key lime pie slices. This is homestyle cooking full of comfort and lets you just relax and tuck in. Super friendly service and although we didn't dine in the restaurant this visit, it's lovely & has the special character of its history.

We went for Sunday brunch. There was a great selection of fresh homemade delicious food. You can tell everything is seasonal and made right there. The dessert table was right out of grandmas kitchen and the atmosphere was cozy and perfect for the holidays. My girls loved the homemade candy canes they brought us at the end.

I recommend. I also recommend reservations, especially during APT season. We went on a whim and our first time on a Saturday night about 5:30 and had to wait, quite a while, but they were VERY accommodating. Service was fine and food was good. I had coconut shrimp, husband had prime rib. Prime was more well done than the medium temp that was ordered. Salad came late, food came like five minutes after the salad. BUT not a super big deal for us and they were very busy and possibly short staffed. We will go back.
