A rarity on this side of the pond: excellent fish and chips, true Scotch whisky and a great pub atmosphere. – The Scene Named after the London pub where Paul McCartney met first wife Linda Eastman, each Old Bag is decorated with beer-can collections, bric-a-brac and other pub paraphernalia. The Worthington location is a bit darker and hole-in-the-wall cozy, while the Grandview space is larger and good for groups and kids. People come for the food as much as the great selection of imported beers and ales; expect to wait a whi... read more
Great Place to Meet Friends – The fish and chips are the best I've had anyplace. I also like the Canjun Seafood Gumbo and often get that meal since it goes so well with the large beer selection. Speaking of the beer selection. I've eaten here quite a number of times and still have not gone through every beer that they carry.
Best Fish and Chips – Worthington Location: Absolute best Fish and Chips in the city, hands down. Great food selection (try the blue cheese potato skins), very good beer selection. No alcohol outside but it's just great to sit on the sidewalk of quaint Worthington and watch the world go by. Plastic chairs / tables aren't the most luxurious but the food makes up for it. Very friendly staff and patrons. Afterward, zip across the street for coffee at Scottie MacBean and ice cream at Graeter's.
Feels like home.... – This pub is a great place to eat, watch TV, relax, and have a few drinks. What more could you want?!
it dowsn't get more comfortable than thi – comfort foods featuring hearty soups, big sandwiches, great potatoes & much more. if only one person wants the comfort food & you're going with a few, don't worry, the stupendous salads & wings will be sure to please the whole crowd.
Good Time... – What a nice place. The location is wonderful..nice shops line the street which is great to help walk off all the fish and chips you just consumed. It is great! I didnt think Fish and Chips could be this good south of the Canadian border or on this side of the pond. I stand corrected. Good food, nice ambience (unless your looking for a romantic setting). My only complaint is that the service was a bit slow. Good time.
You'll think you're in England – Old Bag of Nails is one of the few places to which I will make a point of taking a visitor in Columbus. The atmosphere can's be beat. The location in Worthington is tiny but it exudes an atmosphere that cannot be duplicated anywhere. They have a wonderful selection of domestic and imported beers (I always go with the Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout) and their Fish & Chips will make you say "Blimey!". Probably the best Pub in town.
