Tonight my family and I ate at the oak glen steak house. The food was amazing and the service was even better. We eat out a lot, and never have we ever had anyone ask our kids if they needed refills, or if they needed anything with their meal. Kayla was our waitress and not only was she on top of our refills on our drinks but my kids also. I was so pleased with everything we will definitely be coming back.
We visited the Saloon part on Saturday. Taylor was our outstanding waitress, we had the brisket tacos, tri tip and pulled pork sliders with fries and the calamari with the habanero jelly (our server said not to treat it like ketchup, very, very hot! We ended up asking for cocktail sauce to finish the calamari with which worked out very well and to do again would get both jelly and sauce lol). Everything was amazing, so good we are going back this week for dinner!
We had long anticipated this opening. The exterior decor was amazing. However we were greatly disappointed. Service in bar was OK especially when compared to the dinning room. We ordered pretzels and asked that there be salt on them. When there was none we requested some on the side. The young man brought out what I believe to be Himalayan salt. The atmosphere, staff and drinks are great. We will keep coming because of that. But, we have been 3 times (twice for food) and were disappointed (with the food) each time. The food that we have ordered are: Fish and chips, the fish was more batter than fish. Beer battered brat, again a lot of batter that didn't have much flavor and the brat inside was cold. Wow!!! Wow!!! Best meal I have had in a long time. I had the Chicken Fried Steak....this was an actual steak!! Amazing!! And of course having Kat as our server was a perk. Thank you for bringing great food back to Yucaipa.
