Baliey the manager is one of the most ruddest people i have ever met. She should NOT be in this biz. She should be in the back room someplace that employs her... NOTHING TO DO WITH PEOPLE. I am shocked she is still employed. Wakeup management and owners of Nicollet Diner.
Food was great. Wild rice soup, buffalo chicken salad and the makin bakin burger. The buffalo sauce had good flavor. The service was slow but the lady that took care of us was working her butt off and very upbeat and friendly.
11am on a Monday. Ordered a bloody and friend a screwdriver. Took a half hour. We would have left but we had also ordered an appetizer, and we had a lot to talk about. So, went to the "restroom". Holy disgusting! Paper cups, toilet paper and anything you can imagine all over the floor. Then you go to the comunal sinks to wash your hands and you can't even see yourself in the filthy mirrors. I don't really blame the staff. That place is just soo disorganized . I hope they figure out how to get it together!
Probably one of the worst dining experiences ive ever had. To keep it short, me and my wife went for dinner and she didn't like her food at all (she took literally 3 bites of the whole thing). We told the waiter several times that she didn't like it and he completely ignored it. He didn't offer to make her something different or void the meal, instead he asked if we wanted to take it home "for our dog or something" (word for word, I couldn't make this up if i tried)... or course we said no and he threw it away. Have never received good service here. Have been multiple times. Most recently was there late night, waited for food for over an hour, people beside us complained and were not nice about it after about 10 minutes..got their food immediately. Seems there is no process whatsoever. Another time, waited for long period of time, finally complained and food came within a few minutes...it's like they don't actually place your order until you complain. Very slow and the hostess couldn’t have less helpful or more rude.
Food was great! wait for food was long but for homemade worth it!!
